DFF SWS - New way of DFF cooperation
DFF WorldwideHello,

I would like to inform you in advance that we are almost ready to launch a new way of communication and information sharing within the DFF. After recent experiences with the organization of conferences we did not rejected this form, but it seems to us to be for our purposes much better to find a faster and cheaper way of exchange of experience.

Is Digital Forensics Science an independent science?
Actual infoRecently, again, in some forums was opened the debate on how different groups access to the activities of Digital Forensics. Specifically, the main grouse is heard that the LE is in some way “separative”, many of their Digital Forensic activities are closed.

Bad Guys and Good Guys
Actual info13. 4. 2007 an interesting thread was published at "cftt@yahoogroups.com", called "defense practitioners". I forgot my web-access ID/PASS, so i am not able to copy this discussion for you (and it could be against the rights of CFTT forum, I think). Shortly - it was about the right of "bad guys" (ie. private forensic experts working for defenders) to participate at CFTT group.
It seems to me, that only some US computer forensic experts have this problem - who is the bad-guy or good-guy.
