After a five years, next DFF meeting will be this year. Join event - LawTech Europe Congress and DFF Prague Meeting will take a place in Prague, Clarion Congress Hotel, November 12, 2012.
Thanks to close cooperation with LawTech Europe Congress organisers, we have good opportunity to prepare second DFF meeting this year. For all wanted to take a part, all organisational matters are published at LawTech Europe Congress website. |

DFF Prague 2012 - main orientation |
|
DFF Prague 2012 Meeting will not have a character of a typical conference. It will be primarily the working meeting, where we will, at a broader forum, discuss further orientation, development and perspective of the DFF Initiative. Organizational issues will therefore be a major part of what this year we want to emphasize at DFF.
Apart from these issues, however, certainly also technical issues will be discussed, we want to pay particular attention to issues of expert's skills and education and other issues of theory and practice of Digital Forensic Science. |

Academy of Forensic Sciences |
|
 In the middle of last year Academy of Forensic Sciences was established in Prague. Leading experts have decided to unite their efforts and jointly develop activities aimed at raising the level, status and prestige of Forensic Sciences.
It is significant that DFF members of the CRC played the key roles at the establishment of the Academy. |

| Yesterday was held the first meeting of the Preparatory Committee to establish basic procedural steps and create the conditions, provisions and rules of the official establishing of the DFF CRC (Czech Republic Chapter). |

Hello,
I would like to inform you in advance that we are almost ready to launch a new way of communication and information sharing within the DFF. After recent experiences with the organization of conferences we did not rejected this form, but it seems to us to be for our purposes much better to find a faster and cheaper way of exchange of experience. |

Is Digital Forensics Science an independent science? |

| Recently, again, in some forums was opened the debate on how different groups access to the activities of Digital Forensics. Specifically, the main grouse is heard that the LE is in some way “separative”, many of their Digital Forensic activities are closed. |

DFF Europe - activity continues |
|
| DFF Meeting Prague 2007 gave impetus to reflect on the situation in the field of Digital Forensics. That impulse did not remain without response, the informal meetings of the last year’s DFF Meeting participants continue. Exchange of experiences, expertise and views takes place at both on-line and personal meetings during working and informal visits. |

FTK 2 - is it a new concept? |
